Describe Your Business In A Few Words

Can you easily and clearly describe your business?

How do you describe your business? Do you leave folks ready to learn more or do you leave them scratching their heads and asking “WTF did I just listen to?” πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I don’t believe in easy. Simple, yes. Effective, absolutely. But easy isn’t my goal. This week’s #smallwin is focused on clarity.

The Question

What does your pitch sound like these days? Is it clear and concise? Or is it a trainwreck of ambiguous BS? Pitches assume you have time. What if you didn’t have 30 seconds? Or 15? What if you only had one word? Could you describe the problem you solve and how you solve it in 1-2 words?

The Work

Describe the problem you solve in one word πŸ’‘- overwhelm

How do the people you serve describe it in a single word? ✍🏼- solopreneurs

Describe the solution you provide in one-word πŸ’‘- support

How do the people you serve describe their problem in a single word? ✍🏼- priorities

This is a great exercise to do once a quarter. I believe it’s important to clarify what you do and who you serve.
If you can do this you’ll be ready to impress the shit out of your next client πŸ”₯

Check out the format below πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡πŸ½

  • I’m X

  • I solve X

  • I do it by doing X

  • The people I serve are X

Here’s my first attempt πŸ“

I’m Jaycee and I run Twenty Two Kittens, a virtual assistant company. I solve overwhelm by doing tasks for solopreneurs and small business owners and allowing them to focus on their priorities.

I’d love to see what you come up with. Share it on Twitter and use the hashtag #smallwinΒ  πŸ™Œ

Talk to you soon.
